What Performance Analyzer stores about you, why, where and for how long, and what you can ask.

Last changed: 27 October 2026

Who

Performance Analyzer is made and run by a private person in the Netherlands, who is responsible for your personal data on this site. You reach him with the contact form.

What is stored, and why

  • Your account: your login name, your email address and your password (only as a secure hash, never readable). Needed to log you in and to send you mail about your account, such as confirming your email address or a new password.
  • Signing in with Google, if you choose it: your name, email address, the identifier Google gives your account, and the address of your Google picture. Google tells this site who you are; this site does not get your Google password.
  • Your profile: the name others see, what you write about yourself, your units, whether your profile is public, and your picture. Only you decide what you fill in.
  • Your motorcycles: their data, torque curves and runs, the description and photos you add, and links you share. Photos are stored without their camera data, so without the place where they were taken.
  • The catalog: the technical data of your motorcycles (gear ratios, sprockets, tire size, weight, torque curve) may be used to complete the catalog, as the terms of use say. The catalog does not show who it came from; the site keeps that only to be able to answer a question about it or to remove it.
  • Technical logs: the server notes requests (your IP address, the page, the time) and errors, to keep the site secure and to fix faults. They are only read for that.
  • The contact form: your name, email address and message go by email to the maker of the site, to answer you. They are not stored on the site.

The legal grounds: what is needed for the account you asked for (your account, your motorcycles), your own choice (a public profile, photos, signing in with Google), and the legitimate interest of keeping the site secure (logs, the protection of the contact form against spam).

Who sees it

  • Your profile and the motorcycles you put on it: only logged in users, and only when you make your profile public. A shared link: anyone you give it to, until you stop sharing.
  • Your email address and login name are never shown to others.
  • Nothing is sold or given to others. There is no advertising and no tracking or statistics service.
  • The site runs at a hosting company in the European Union, which stores the data for this site only. Mail is sent through a mail provider. Google only takes part when you sign in with Google.

Cookies

Only the cookies needed to log in, and a short-lived one while you sign in with Google. No cookies for tracking, advertising or statistics, and nothing is loaded from other websites while you use this site; the only exception is your own Google picture, which your profile page offers you after signing in with Google. That is why there is no cookie banner.

How long

  • Your account, with your profile, motorcycles and photos: until you delete it (on your profile, under Settings), or after 2 years without logging in. You get an email before that happens.
  • When an account is deleted, its motorcycles, runs, photos and shared links are deleted with it. A copy that someone else made of a motorcycle you shared is theirs and stays, and so does technical data already used in the catalog, without your name.
  • Technical logs: one month, then they are deleted by themselves.

Security

The site only works over an encrypted connection (https). Passwords are stored as a hash. The database is encrypted on disk.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data about you, to correct it, to delete it or your whole account, to have a copy of it, or to limit or object to its use. Most of it you can change yourself on your profile and in your garage, and you can delete your whole account yourself on your profile; for the rest, use the contact form. You get an answer within a month. If you think your data is not handled well, you can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

When the site starts to handle personal data differently, this statement changes first, with a new date above.
